When R&B singer, Ciara, entered the music scene in 2004, she was quickly hailed for her highly entertaining music/dancing combination.  Her debut album, Goodies, was a huge commercial success and earned triple platinum honors for selling more than 2 million copies in the United States alone.  When Ciara released her sophomore album, her career was still riding high.  While Ciara: The Evolution wasn’t as successful as Goodies, it was still certified platinum, sold over 1 million copies, and spawned several hit singles – allowing Ciara to successfully avoid the dreaded sophomore slump.  With two successful albums under her belt, it seemed as though the sky was the limit for Ciara.  However, her third album was a critical and commercial disappointed and her career began to take a turn into oblivious.  Although Ciara has attempted a comeback in 2013, and was able to put out a hit single, things just haven’t been the same for the Princess of Crunk&B.  Here are five tweets from users who believe that Ciara’s career has fallen off.

Lol nah career wise RT @vrodnee: Lol on stage? RT Cobhoza: Ciara fell off☹

The term “fall/fell off” can easily be misunderstood; however, in Ciara’s case, she may have actually been better off falling off of a stage.

Ciara fell off pretty bad. I might actually have a chance

This Twitter user seems to be under the impression that now that Ciara’s career isn’t where it once was, he may stand a chance at dating her.

Okay, so Ciara may have fallen off, but that doesn’t change the fact that she was once a very successful artist with a bright future ahead of her.  Unfortunately for Ciara, like many other artists, things didn’t pan out at predicted.

2.

We've concluded that Ciara's career fell off after/because she stopped doing "the matrix."

— Tarnished (@NikonFlash) November 23, 2014

The matrix” was a popular dance move in the early 2000s that required dancers to lean back and spread their arms to give the illusion that they were either collapsing or floating in mid-air.  This move was one of Ciara’s signature steps, but sadly, when the move disappeared her career went with it.

Fell off like some bad bath salts RT @LsupFLAMEZ: Man wtf happened to ciara

— Skinny nigga wit a lil muscle (@So_True_Rae) July 2, 2012

Although Ciara’s career has seen a little more action since this tweet was originally published, other than her 2013 single, “Body Party” most of Ciara’s media attention has been focused on her relationship with rapper, Future.
