Suzanne Somers died at 76 on Sunday, 15 October 2023 at her home in Palm Springs, California following a long battle with cancer.
In April 2000, she was diagnosed with stage II breast cancer and had a lumpectomy to remove the cancer followed by radiation therapy. The cancer returned in July 2023.
The actress had breast cancer for over 23 years and died early Sunday morning just a day before her 77th birthday, her publicist, R. Couri Hay disclosed in a post via Somers’s verified Instagram account.

Somers was born in 1946. She began acting in the late 1960s, earning her first credit in the film, Bullitt. However, she became famous when she was cast in the film, American Graffiti.
As an author, Somers wrote several books, including two autobiographies, four diet books, and a book of poetry. Her books include Ageless: The Naked Truth About Bioidentical Hormones (2006) and Knockout (2009).
