Floyd Mayweather was courtside to watch LeBron James break the NBA scoring record on Tuesday night.
The LA Lakers icon scored 38 points in their 133-130 loss to Oklahoma City Thunder, but stole all the headlines despite defeat as he passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s 39-year-old record.
James needed 36 points and broke the record in the third quarter with a fadeaway jumper.
There was a break in play to celebrate that achievement.
His family was in attendance and his children were seen courtside with their phones out ready to capture the moment.
The game was paused for roughly 10 minutes as James took pictures with his family.
Mayweather also took his opportunity to congratulate the NBA legend.
The pair were pictured embracing and clearly share a great deal of mutual respect.
James later addressed the crowd through tears.
He said: "Everybody that has ever been a part of this run with me the last 20-plus years, I want to say thank you so much because I wouldn’t be me without all you.

"You all helped. Your passion and sacrifices helped me to get to this point.
“And to the NBA to [commissioner] Adam Silver, to the late great [former commissioner] David Stern, thank you very much for allowing me to be a part of something I always dreamed about.
"I would never in a million years dreamt this to be even better than what it is tonight.”
James finished the night with a career total 38,390 points.
It will cement his legacy as one of the greatest NBA players of all time.
Asked after the game whether he is the best NBA player ever, James said: “I’ll let everybody else decide who that is or just talk about it, but it’s great barbershop talk.
“Me personally, I’m going to take myself against anybody who’s ever played this game. But everyone’s going to decide who their favourite is.”
