Samara Joy Children: Does Samara Joy Have Kids?: Samara Joy, officially known as Samara Joy McLendon is an American jazz singer and performing artiste.
She was born on November 11, 1999, in The Bronx, New York into a musical family and hence developed a love for music at a younger age.
She studied at the Fordham High School for the Arts where she performed with the jazz band and won Best Vocalist at Fordham University’s Essentially Ellington competition.

Samara Joy encountered jazz in a meaningful way when she enrolled in the jazz program at SUNY’s Purchase College as a voice major and was named an Ella Fitzgerald Scholar.
She won the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition in 2019 and was named Best New Artist by Jazz Times for 2021

In February 2023, Samara Joy made headlines after winning the Best New Artist at the 2023 GRAMMYs making her the second jazz singer to win the award, the first being Esperanza Spalding in 2011.
Samara Joy beat Anitta, Omar Appollo, DOMi & JD Beck, Muni Long, Latto, Maneskin, Tobe Nwigwe, Molly Tuttle, and Wet Leg to win the coveted prize. She also won the Best Jazz Vocal Album for her project Linger Awhile (second album).
